Ingredients

  • 1 pound (4 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch tube or Bundt pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Gradually add flour, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour.
  5. Stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool in pan 15 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack.
Tip: This cake tastes even better the next day. Serve with berries, whipped cream, or simply dusted with powdered sugar.
